Burial, who has spent the last decade trading in generous loosies, compiles them into an album that, had it been an LP, could feasibly be called his best. Accusations regarding exiguous portion sizes have, accordingly, been rendered obsolete. The tunes here plot a new path into something comprehensive and assured, certainly, but they remain affecting in their initial iterations; only Burial deserves the best of both worlds

After a sterile, bleak year of lockdowns, Chemz made me feel emotions I'd forgotten even existed. As the hook immediately grabbed me by the ribcage and propelled me into a swirling black hole of a dancefloor, I simultaneously felt electric ecstasy and as though I'd quite like to punch a hole through my speakers.
